Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, monitoring, and intervention during weekend shifts
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and rapid response protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and weekend shift-specific workflows
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (BRN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtain within 30 days)
- Strong clinical skills in emergency or critical care settings
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to weekend shift demands and variable patient acuity
