Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned units with precision and compassion
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with strict adherence to safety protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond rapidly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Participate in weekend shift handovers ensuring seamless continuity of care
- Adhere to all JCAHO and hospital regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license in good standing
- BSN preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- Minimum 1 year acute care clinical experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend coverage
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
- Valid Maryland driver's license for potential transport duties
