Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and treatment monitoring
- Assess patient conditions and implement care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists regarding patient status and treatment adjustments
- Supervise LVNs and CNAs while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Participate in weekend shift rotations (Friday-Sunday, 7a-7p)
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (or compact license with Texas residence)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in telemetry/ICU/ER
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
