Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across diverse medical units including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation in Epic EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to critical situations
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years acute care experience considered
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year weekend shift experience preferred
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
