Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, reporting any changes in condition immediately.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and continuous care for all patients.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holidays as required.
