Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, reporting any changes in condition immediately.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
  • Document all patient interactions, care provided, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and continuous care for all patients.

Qualifications

  • Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
