Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vitals and assess health status frequently to identify changes requiring immediate intervention.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, ensuring patient safety and documentation compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding medical conditions and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience (Med-Surg or Critical Care experience preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and handle critical situations.
