Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the healthcare provider immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established medical protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient medical history, symptoms, progress, and care plans accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and nursing staff, to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, post-discharge care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations and infection control standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care when needed with composure and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the facility.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
