Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and prepare prescription medications for patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists with medication compounding and quality control checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications and insurance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA.
- Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims accurately.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- State licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- High school diploma or GED required.
