Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures with efficiency and precision.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photographs as directed.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and charting treatment plans accurately.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict guidelines.
- Provide exceptional patient service, including answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Perform administrative duties such as insurance verification and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant certification or license (required).
- CPR and BLS certification (current).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental setting (preferred).
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
