Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory with precise documentation
- Conduct patient screening and preliminary specimen preparation remotely via telehealth
- Maintain HIPAA compliance for all electronic health records and data handling
- Calibrate and troubleshoot phlebotomy equipment remotely and on-site
- Train new technicians on remote compliance procedures and specimen handling
- Collaborate with lab teams via digital platforms for case reviews
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and remote documentation systems
- Valid Kansas phlebotomy license
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with low complication rates
- CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work independently while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills for remote patient interactions
