Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections in clinical settings
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining chain of custody protocols
- Document patient information and test results using our secure remote portal
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams via telehealth platforms when needed
- Maintain inventory and equipment calibration remotely
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid Texas state phlebotomy license
- Proficient with EHR systems and remote documentation tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
