Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections in clinical settings
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory with strict adherence to protocols
- Conduct patient interviews and verify medical information electronically
- Maintain electronic health records and documentation remotely
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations
- Collaborate with lab teams via digital communication platforms
- Train patients on pre-test procedures through virtual consultations
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- 1+ years of clinical blood collection experience
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC/Cerner preferred)
- Strong remote communication and virtual collaboration skills
- Valid Indiana phlebotomy license
- CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and infection control knowledge
