Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions
- Verify patient information and insurance details
- Provide exceptional telephonic customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy databases
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication-related inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal/state pharmacy regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Process insurance claims and troubleshoot billing issues
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience
- Proficiency with pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- High-speed internet connection and quiet workspace
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends/holidays
