Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections in patient homes or satellite locations
- Process and transport specimens to central laboratory with strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Conduct virtual patient consultations for pre-collection instructions and result delivery
- Maintain electronic health records with 100% HIPAA compliance
- Train patients on at-home collection techniques via video conferencing
- Collaborate with physicians for specimen collection optimization
- Manage inventory and calibration of portable phlebotomy equipment
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- 2+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid Texas driver's license with reliable transportation
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms (Zoom, Doxy.me)
- Experience with LIS systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- COVID-19 vaccination required
