Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial and follow-up assessments of patient symptoms via telephonic and digital channels.
- Determine the appropriate level of care, including directing patients to emergency services when necessary.
- Provide accurate medical advice, health education, and self-care instructions to patients.
- Document all triage interactions and patient outcomes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes efficiently while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Stay current with clinical guidelines, telehealth protocols, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (MN license required).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with specific experience in triage or telehealth.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in navigating computer systems and EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, etc.) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting performance metrics.
