Responsibilities
- Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Manage complex claim submissions and denials for commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations and resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation meets coding requirements
- Implement process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy
- Stay current with CMS regulations and payer policy changes
- Lead training for junior billing staff on coding best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with specialty practice focus
- CPC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA) certification required
