Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy rate
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through strategic appeals and negotiations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality of patient financial data
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately for optimal reimbursement
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables
- Train junior billing staff on coding updates and billing protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with complex insurance plans
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficient in Epic, Medisoft, or similar EHR/billing platforms
- Proven ability to reduce claim denial rates below 5%
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial data integrity
