Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for 15+ daily procedures
- Assist surgeons during complex operations in orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery
- Maintain strict aseptic technique compliance per AORN standards
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment in OR suites
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient transitions
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in Level 1 trauma center
- BLS/CPR certification with current expiration
- Expertise in sterile processing and instrument sterilization
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with precise manual dexterity
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance protocols
- Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent
