Responsibilities
- Manage complex medical billing processes for multi-specialty practices using Epic EMR systems
- Analyze claim denials and implement corrective action plans to reduce denial rates below 5%
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and commercial payer regulations
- Conduct regular audits of charge capture and coding accuracy
- Collaborate with physicians and coders to resolve billing discrepancies
- Optimize revenue cycle through denial prevention and appeals management
- Train junior billing staff on best practices and system updates
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards
- Advanced proficiency in Epic Resolute and Centricity EMR platforms
- Proven track record of reducing denial rates and improving A/R days
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
