Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance carriers (Medicare, Medicaid, Private Payors) using AdvancedMD or equivalent EHR systems.
- Review denied claims and appeal denials to maximize revenue collection.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to rendering services.
- Manage patient billing inquiries and ensure a positive customer service experience.
- Collaborate with coding teams to ensure proper ICD-10 and CPT code assignment.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal audit standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
- Experience with AdvancedMD or similar EMR/EHR platforms is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical billing software.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Certification (CCS, CPC, or RHIA) is a plus but not required.
