Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation protocols
- Process insurance claims and handle third-party billing systems
- Conduct medication reconciliation and patient counseling sessions
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidential patient records
- Train junior technicians on pharmacy software and procedures
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prescription verification
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding and IV admixture
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer literacy and data entry proficiency
