Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and compound medications following sterile procedures and regulatory standards
- Manage prescription processing workflow from intake to final verification using advanced pharmacy management systems
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication administration, side effects, and adherence strategies
- Oversee inventory control and automate ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels
- Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and compliance protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy regimens
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure 100% prescription accuracy
Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license with minimum 3 years experience
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT (maintained in good standing)
- Advanced proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Proven expertise in sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero medication error history
- Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to multitask in high-volume pharmacy environment
- Experience with third-party billing and insurance verification processes
