Responsibilities
- Process and verify prescription orders with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and package medications, ensuring proper labeling and dosage instructions.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient questions and resolving medication inquiries.
- Assist in the compounding of specialized medications and participate in quality control audits.
- Mentor and train new pharmacy technicians and support staff.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification (or state license) required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
