Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process prescription orders using advanced pharmacy software (Omni, Epic)
- Provide medication counseling to patients and healthcare staff
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding and IV admixture
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
