Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Assist with sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license required
- 2+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic IV certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
