Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop rapid treatment plans
- Oversee triage operations during peak patient volumes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 100% compliance
- Train and mentor junior nursing staff on triage procedures
- Implement quality improvement initiatives for patient flow
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and disaster response
Qualifications
- BSN or higher (MSN preferred) from accredited institution
- 5+ years emergency department experience
- Current California RN license with ACLS/PALS certifications
- ENPC or TNCC certification required
- Demonstrated expertise in ESI level 1-3 triage
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic or Cerner EMR systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
