Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity levels in emergency settings using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop rapid treatment plans for critical cases
- Lead triage team during high-volume shifts and mass casualty incidents
- Implement quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy metrics
- Maintain detailed patient documentation in Epic EHR systems
- Mentor junior nursing staff on advanced assessment techniques
- Participate in hospital-wide emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- BSN or higher degree in Nursing (MSN preferred)
- 5+ years ER/trauma experience with 2+ years in triage leadership
- Current WA RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Expertise in ESI 5-level triage methodology
- Proven experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Critical incident management and de-escalation skills
- Ability to maintain composure under extreme pressure
