Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize care in high-volume emergency settings
- Perform rapid physical assessments and interpret diagnostic results
- Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans
- Provide compassionate communication to patients and families during stressful situations
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation
- Train new triage staff on protocols and best practices
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and de-escalation skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
