Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessment and prioritize cases using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate with emergency departments, specialists, and ancillary services for seamless patient transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide clinical guidance to junior nursing staff and oversee triage workflows
- Develop and implement departmental triage protocols in collaboration with medical directors
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and root cause analyses
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with minimum 5 years emergency/urgent care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Proven expertise in ESI triage and rapid assessment methodologies
- Demonstrated leadership experience in high-volume healthcare settings
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EMR and telehealth triage platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (MSN preferred)
