Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with minimal discomfort.
- Verify patient identity and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Label, transport, and process blood specimens according to strict laboratory standards.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment and medical equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and explain procedures clearly.
- Assist with specimen inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Certified Phlebotomist (CP) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
