Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical insurance claims using ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits eligibility
- Manage patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Utilize EHR systems for documentation and claim tracking
- Generate monthly billing reports for management review
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience required
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Certified Medical Biller (CMB) certification preferred
