Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile materials.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Monitor and inventory surgical supplies, restocking as needed.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room safely.
- Document patient medical records and surgical procedures accurately.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certification eligible.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
