Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Ensure operating rooms are fully stocked and equipment is functioning properly
- Transport patients and specimens safely between departments
- Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain inventory and order surgical supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- BLS certification required
- Experience with major specialties (orthopedic, general, neuro)
