Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments provided by the facility
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Manage sterilization and processing of reusable surgical equipment
- Document procedural supplies and equipment inventory accurately
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless equipment transitions between cases
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and AORN standards for equipment handling
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- 1+ years of recent operating room experience with equipment management
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation protocols
- Ability to efficiently manage provided equipment in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail in equipment assembly and verification
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for equipment coordination
