Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Operate and sterilize surgical equipment including endoscopic devices
- Document procedural details and equipment usage
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with orthopedic/neurosurgical procedures a plus
