Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and implement infection control protocols
- Count surgical instruments and supplies pre/post-procedure
- Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment (e.g., endoscopic cameras)
- Document surgical cases accurately and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures across specialties
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends/on-call
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
