Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures with precise instrument handling
- Implement sterilization protocols per OSHA and AORN standards
- Document procedural details and inventory management systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Mentor junior technicians through remote training modules
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of OR experience in general surgery or subspecialty
- BLS/CPR certification with current status
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
- Strong attention to detail and crisis management skills
