Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
- Monitor and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Ensure the proper functioning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies used.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
