Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain all surgical equipment including robotic systems and specialized instrumentation
- Assist surgeons during procedures with precise instrument handling and sterile technique
- Operate advanced surgical technology including endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment
- Manage sterile processing and equipment sterilization protocols
- Document equipment usage and maintenance in compliance with JCAHO standards
- Collaborate with OR teams to ensure seamless equipment readiness
- Train on new surgical technologies as innovations are implemented
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years recent operating room experience
- Expertise in handling advanced surgical equipment (robotics, endoscopic, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization validation
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent communication skills for OR team coordination
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed
