Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations using provided advanced equipment
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and OSHA compliance
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless procedures
- Document case details and equipment usage in EMR systems
- Train on new surgical technologies as implemented
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- 2+ years of OR experience in general surgery
- Proficiency with provided robotic surgical systems (da Vinci)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Texas Surgical Tech license (or eligible)
