Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging equipment and supplies and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to maintain accurate records.
- Handle specimens accurately and transport them to the laboratory.
- Monitor the patient's condition and respond to any changes during surgery.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict aseptic techniques.
- Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with scrub experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Valid State Surgical Technologist license.
