Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and materials efficiently.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Monitor patient vital signs and communicate any changes to the nursing staff.
- Prepares and labels specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Ensure the operating room is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, sterilization procedures, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
