Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and sterilization protocols
- Manage surgical equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Document case details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in specialty surgery
- BLS/CPR certification maintained
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Experience with robotic surgical systems preferred
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program
