Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Account for surgical instruments and supplies before/during/after procedures
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms with proper positioning
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless workflow
- Document procedural activities and inventory management
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and precision in instrument handling
