Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Account for surgical instruments and supplies before, during, and after procedures
- Transport patients to and from surgical suites with care
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless care
- Document procedure details accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent scrub experience in general surgery
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- BLS certification with current CPR credentials
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
