Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols
- Count and track surgical instruments, sponges, and sharps
- Position patients and equipment for optimal surgical access
- Assist in cleaning and restocking post-procedure
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
