Responsibilities
- Preparation: Set up operating rooms with all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to surgery.
- Assistance: Assist the surgical team during procedures, passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
- Equipment Management: Ensure all surgical equipment is sterile, functioning correctly, and properly maintained.
- Patient Care: Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Documentation: Accurately count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure zero loss.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a sterile and organized environment in the operating room.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and currently certified (CST) or eligible for certification.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision and ability to follow complex instructions.
