Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Ensure accurate labeling, processing, and storage of biological specimens.
- Adhere to strict safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Communicate clearly with patients to reduce anxiety and ensure comfort.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to facilitate patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent (e.g., ASCP).
- Current Florida State Phlebotomy License.
- Strong attention to detail and fine motor skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency.
