Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations with clinical expertise
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Participate in shift handovers with clear communication of patient status and care needs
- Utilize electronic health records systems for accurate documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications required with PALS preferred
- Graduation from accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or MSN)
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts in various healthcare settings
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
