Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg departments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures per facility protocols
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and state regulatory standards
- Provide patient education and discharge planning support
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process reviews
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required; TNCC/PALS preferred based on unit
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and variable schedules
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Excellent communication and documentation proficiency
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments
- Valid state driver's license for housing assignments
